Art Alcove

The art alcove is on ground floor across from the main staircase and outside of CORETECH. This space is reserved for groups to display art that celebrates culture and history at WSU. 

General Policies

  • Cultural or Historical Significance: All applications must address the cultural or historical significance of the intended display and explain its relevance to the union and the WSU population. A written purpose statement is required.
  • Not for Promotion or Advertisement: Displays must not be promotional or affiliated with any event or advertisement. 
  • Limitations per Student/Group: Only one application may be submitted per student or student group per year.

  • Submission Timeline: Applications may be submitted up to one semester/summer in advance, but no later than one month prior to the intended display date.

    • Fall Semester: May 1 - July 31

    • Spring Semester: September 1 - November 30

    • Summer Term: January 1 - March 31 

  • Display Duration: Displays must be shown for a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of one month.

  • Content Approval: All content must be reviewed and approved in advance by the CUB Advisory Board. 

  • Installation and Removal: The student or student group submitting the application is responsible for the installation and removal of the display. 

  • Liability: The CUB is not responsible for any stolen or damaged items.
