The CUB Building Manager ensures the safety and security of the Compton Union Building (CUB) and provides exceptional customer service to the students, guests, vendors, and staff who use it. The Building Manager serves as an administrative liaison and point-of-contact for all meetings and events and is responsible for providing assistance to the general operation of the Compton Union facilities. This position is also responsible for daily operations of the CUB while on shift. This includes the cleanliness of facility, set-up/tear-down of equipment for events and programs, opening and closing of the facility each day, and other duties as assigned.
The Event Set-up Crew provides the behind-the-scenes work in setting up and taking down event spaces. This can include, but is not limited to tables, chairs, podiums, risers and other equipment for events scheduled by the Compton Union. Event Setup Techs provide exceptional customer service, security, and facility management to the students, guests, and staff of the Compton Union and its operations.
The A/V Tech is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, event management, and audio and visual reinforcement for events scheduled by the Compton Union. This includes having a working knowledge of the audio and visual equipment and systems of the CUB and being responsible for the set-up, operation, and take-down of all equipment. This position will also be highly interactive with customers and is expected to provide exemplary customer service.
